Quick answer

Free WHOIS Lookup, Check Any Domain Owner & Expiry

Free WHOIS lookup for any domain: check the registrar, registration date, expiry, status, and name servers. Works properly on the full .pk family, where a lot of international tools return nothing or a partial record. No signup and nothing held back behind an account. Since GDPR, personal contact fields on most generic extensions are redacted by default, which applies to every lookup tool. Your searches are not compiled, profiled, or sold to domain investors. Used by developers and businesses across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Sialkot.

The basics

What is a WHOIS lookup?

WHOIS is the public record of who registered a domain and when. Every registration sends the registrant details, dates and name servers to the registry for that extension: ICANN accredited registries for .com and .net, PKNIC for the .pk family, and TDRA for .ae. Newer lookups often run over RDAP, the protocol that replaced WHOIS, though everyone still calls it a WHOIS lookup.

This tool asks the registry and returns the record as it stands. Since GDPR came into force in 2018, personal fields on most generic extensions are hidden by default. What you always get back is the registrar, the dates, the status and the name servers, which is usually what you need.

  • Asks the registry directly instead of serving a cached copy
  • Works on .com, .net, .org, the full .pk family, .ae, .io, .ai and most country extensions
  • Returns full registry data on .pk, where many international tools come back empty
  • Registrar, registration date, expiry, status and name servers
  • Free to use, with no signup and nothing held back behind an account
Why use this tool

Built for speed, privacy and accuracy

Straight from the registry

Each lookup goes to the registry that holds the record, not to a scraped copy. Response time depends on the registry, and some are slower than others.

Most extensions covered

Generic and most country extensions in one tool: .com, .net, .org, the .pk family, .ae, .io, .ai, .shop, .co and hundreds more.

The .pk family works

Lookups on .pk, .com.pk, .org.pk, .net.pk and .edu.pk return real registry data. Many international tools return nothing or only part of it.

We do not sell your lookups

Your searches are not collected into a list, profiled or sold to domain investors. We keep standard server logs for security, and that is all.

Developer friendly

Checking a portfolio or expiry dates across a client list? Message us about programmatic access and we will tell you honestly if we can support your volume.

No account needed

Type a domain and get the record. No signup wall, no daily quota and no need to buy anything. If the domain is free, we will tell you that too.

Privacy

Don't want your info public on WHOIS?

Register with us and registration privacy is free on every extension whose registry allows it, including .com, .net, .org, .io and most other generic extensions. Your name, email, phone and address stay out of the public record, which cuts down spam. PKNIC requires public details on .pk, so privacy is not possible there.

Details hidden

Name, email and phone stay out of public lookups.

Free for life

No extra fee for the life of the registration.

WHOIS FAQ

WHOIS lookup: common questions

It pulls up the public record of who registered a domain and when. Every registration sends the registrant details, dates, status and name servers to the registry that runs that extension. A lookup brings that record back, so you can check ownership, see when a domain expires, or find out which registrar to contact.
Because of GDPR, which came into force in 2018. Registrars now hide personal fields such as name, email, phone and address on most generic extensions by default. This applies to every lookup tool, not just this one. The registrar, dates, status and name servers stay visible, which is enough for almost every normal reason to run a lookup.
Yes, across .pk, .com.pk, .org.pk, .net.pk and .edu.pk. Many international lookup tools return nothing on .pk, or only part of the record. If you tried elsewhere and came back empty, that is usually why.
Yes. No signup, no daily limit tied to an account, and nothing held back. If the domain you search is available we will say so, but you do not have to buy it here.
We do not build a profile from your lookups, sell them to domain investors or use them to target you. Like any website we keep standard server logs for security and abuse prevention, and we would rather say that plainly than claim we keep nothing at all.
Each lookup goes to the registry instead of a stored copy, so you get the record as the registry holds it now. Changes can take a short while to appear, so a domain registered or renewed in the last few minutes may still show its old state.
On most generic extensions, yes, and it is free when you register with us. On the .pk family, no: PKNIC requires public registrant details, and no registrar in Pakistan can change that. One practical option is to register in a company name instead of a personal one. See domain registration.
Yes. It is public data published by the registries, and using it to check ownership, do due diligence, check expiry or contact a registrar is legal. What is not allowed, under registry policy and Pakistani law, is harvesting the data to send bulk unsolicited email.
Check the expiry date in the record, but most domains are renewed, not dropped, so waiting is rarely a plan. You can try contacting the owner through the registrar, or take a different extension: .pk if your market is Pakistan, or a newer extension if the .com is gone. We are happy to talk through alternatives.
Message us with what you want to do and the volume. We will tell you honestly whether we can support it before you build anything against it. Agencies checking client portfolios and due diligence work are the usual cases.
